Queen Ovileen's Journey

My Journey To Locs began in December of 2004, after wearing my head shaved for 4 years and close & naturally cropped for 4 years before that, starting from scratch.
I had to start growing my hair instead of shaving it off, so that was a weird and trying time.
But once I had enough hair to comb-twist, I went for it. I went thru the baby stage for about 4 months, then the rebellious teen stage for about 8 months and now I am at my mature stage with locs just resting on my shoulder tops.
It seemed to take such a long time for my hair to loc (13 months), being that I have a fine/curly texture of hair, whereas my mother's hair started to loc within 6 months. The whole process is very enlightening and spiritually fulfilling. It has brought me to a level of self-awareness & self-worth that I never knew existed.
I am a Proud Queen with my Crown of Glory that is rooted in my locs. I leave the kinks in my hair & removed the kinks from my life, by the journey of growing my locs alone. There is a standard of quality in relationships, business & spiritually that I carry with me from day-to-day and will not waver from it. I respect my temple from head-to-toe, inside and out & so must all around me.
Peace and blessing to All!
